Thru the initiative of Cong. Irvin M. Alcala, another milestone in education development is set in his beloved 2nd congressional district.
Just recently, a notice from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Coroporation or PAGCOR, arrived at the representative’s office, announcing the soon construction of a classroom building at Gulang Gulang National High School in the city of Lucena.
The 3-storey structure is set to house 9 classrooms for the different year levels of the said public school. Construction of the classroom building is identified to be part of the Department of Education and PAGCOR’s collaboration to bring the gift of better quality education to different areas of the country.
Funds for the construction of the said project have already been released by the body for DepEd’s implementation. Construction is expected to start within the month of May of this year.
DepEd-PAGCOR Silid Aralan Project is part of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III’s Matuwid na Daan sa Silid Aralan Project and the congressman’s beloved district was prioritized for the project.
